Meet Church Planter - Chris Jessup

Chris Jessup became a believer while attending Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. His newfound love for Christ and desire for deeper understanding led him to pursue theological studies at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Charlotte.

During seminary, Chris served for five years with Youth for Christ of Greater Greensboro before going on staff with Friendly Hills Church as the Director of Family Ministries and Outreach. 

After graduating from RTS Charlotte in 2024, Chris was ordained by the Piedmont Triad Presbytery and commissioned as a church planter in Burlington, NC. In July 2024, he and his wife, along with their three children, moved to Burlington with a commitment to establishing a gospel-centered community where believers can grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.  

Chris is dedicated to gospel proclamation, discipleship, church planting, and the ministry of the preached Word. He and his family eagerly anticipate how God will work in Burlington as they share the gospel and cultivate a thriving community of faith.
